Disambiguate? While this is the only or main use as a noun, it's also an adjective with other senses. Peter Jackson (talk) 04:39, 10 May 2023 (CDT)

I did wonder about the title because, as a genre, it's quite wide. In the end, I thought I'd leave it as just Western for now till the article's had some development and I can see where it's going. I'm thinking of focusing on films but a probable majority are based on books and short stories. There are also the many radio and TV programmes. If it should become a very large article, it might end up being split into sub-genres such as Silent Westerns, Revisionist Westerns, Spaghetti Westerns and so on. I have an open mind on the title.
