An Election Committee is a group of Citizens (project members) who are appointed by the Citizendium Council to run an election. The Election Committee organises nominations and the submission of referenda, publicises the election, and counts the results, which are audited by the Chair of the Council or another appointee. A committee must be appointed for each election, i.e. it is not a permanent group.
