Gloucester is a city in the ceremonial county of Gloucestershire. It has a population of 118,400.
Geography
It is located near to the mouth of the river Severn.
History
The city dates back to Roman times. In 1780 Robert Raikes founded one of the first Sunday Schools there.
Transport
The M5 passes close to the city.
