Is a similar structure used anywhere else? I would be greatly surprised if "light general" or "light commander" was used, but the structure is analogous so it does not seem impossible. [[User:Sandy Harris|Sandy Harris]] 04:28, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

:Light colonel is common enough; you sometimes hear "half colonel". Never heard light general or light commander, but, if I think for a while, I'll come up with a commander-equivalent. [[User:Howard C. Berkowitz|Howard C. Berkowitz]] 05:05, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Light colonel?

I have heard this rank referred to, by civilian contractors working with Canadian military, as "light colonel". Is that common usage? If so, it belongs in the article.

Is a similar structure used anywhere else? I would be greatly surprised if "light general" or "light commander" was used, but the structure is analogous so it does not seem impossible. Sandy Harris 04:28, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
