I am a 24-year-old journalism student, college newspaper editor and media relations consultant, currently residing in Richmond, Calif. Beginning in the spring of 2008, I will be attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a double major in journalism and northern studies.
In the 2006-07 academic year, I was editor in chief of the Contra Costa College Advocate, a nationally-honored weekly student newspaper. Our work was honored with numerous national and state awards, including a JACC Pacesetter, an ACP National Newspaper Pacemaker Finalist, Honorable Mention and Third Place ACP Best of Show.
