:The original piece of art is of course PD. However, when taken from a collection, facts need to be known about that so they can be assessed. The original piece of art is of course PD. However, when taken from a collection, facts need to be known about that so they can be assessed. Hard documentation, such as a link to the official source where it explicitly states that the collection was released under the GFDL is really what is needed. Otherwise the GFDL is only hearsay and we must not state it as fact, and the image thus continues to have an issue.  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 01:58, 24 July 2007 (CDT)
