I am a writer and photographer with close to twenty books published and hundreds of articles written and photographs taken for a multitude of major and minor US publishers and corporations. See www.words-images.com. I am well versed in a variety of subjects, but would not claim to be an expert in them so much as a debunker of conventional wisdom and a constructive iconoclast (not an oxymoron).
In 2004, I founded and am the Chairman of the International Institute of Modern Butlers, dedicated through advocacy and training to setting and promulgating the standards of the profession and embedding them in a variety of service industries. See www.modernbutlers.com
Born and raised in England, attended public (private for US speakers) schools and then studied Film, TV and Photography at West Surrey College of Art and Design. Studies interrupted to work in non-profits in a variety of capacities, most especially teaching, before working as a butler in private service and then starting my own companies as above. Currently based in Florida and living out of two suitcases in various countries. My wife and I occasionally manage to coincide our schedules and actually see each other. Hobbies and interests include my work; music, especially opera and other classical, folk, jazz, new age; cooking; and most especially, matters of health, mental health, economics, & politics as they affect mankind today.
