Glad to see you made it - there are loads of pages you can potentially have a look at and modify (see Linguistics External Articles and Linguistics Developing Articles), and maybe start your own; we're certainly missing Turkish language at the moment. Hi. Re: your question on my Talk page, I always head for Wikipedia to check out their version before starting anything new on Citizendium, but this is very much personal choice - maybe you prefer to start from scratch. I think it's worth checking the WP page for any ideas about what to include, even if you don't ultimately upload and modify the WP version. I think it also depends whether you are committed to writing a good article from scratch - you are in CZ for the 'long haul' - or if you'd prefer to edit others' work, which requires less of your time. An example: usually I edit Wikipedia versions, but with the Romansh language page I started from scratch because I'd written several essays about it as a student. This also gives the CZ pages a different perspective, so they can both complement and compete with Wikipedia. John Stephenson 20:46, 23 April 2007 (CDT) | |||

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! glad to have you with us! Nancy Sculerati 18:04, 19 April 2007 (CDT)
Another welcome
Glad to see you made it - there are loads of pages you can potentially have a look at and modify (see Linguistics External Articles and Linguistics Developing Articles), and maybe start your own; we're certainly missing Turkish language at the moment. John Stephenson 03:59, 23 April 2007 (CDT)
