I was born in London in 1979 and brought up there and (from 1987) in Wales.
I studied mathematics at Imperial College, London, obtaining a Master in Science degree, and then at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, where I obtained a doctorate in physics.
My research work focuses on neural networks and learning, econophysics and complex systems in general.
